The current BCCI president "Sourav Ganguly" announces an All stars match which will be played three days before of opening of IPL 2020. 29th March will be the opening day of tournament, so the All stars match will be happened on 26th of March.

The teams of this match is decided by the states which are the parts of the IPL. IPL has 8 teams (KXIP, CSK, RCB, RR, MI, DC, KKR and SRH). So the teams of all stars match will be: one team from the northern and eastern side(KXIP, RR, DC, KKR) and other will be from southern and western side(CSK, RCB, MI, SRH).
Most Interesting Thing
The most interesting thing in this match will be that the legend players of the world will play together. For instance, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Ab de Villiers, Rohit Sharma would be seen playing together for the team of southern side. There are many legend players who will be seen playing together. This match is a perfect event for commencement of the IPL 2020.
How the idea came
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and IPL Governing Council Chairman Brijesh Patel put the idea of this All-Star game, and the match was finalized at the recent meeting held in New Delhi.
